Third Day Tribe Beliefs

• Why I Believe:  At the core of my existence is a desire to honor our Lord with integrity of interpretation of Scripture, excellence in ministry, purity of heart, and compassionate love for the brethren. (1 Peter 1:22) My personal committment is to reach the un-churched community with unchanging ancient truths taught in today's language and equipping and releasing believers for the work of the ministry God has given them. (Jude v. 24)



• Jesus Christ:  I believe that Jesus Christ is the risen & living Son of God. He was born of a virgin, ministered on the earth, was crucified and rose on the Third Day. He waits, seated at the right hand of God, making intercession for His church; until His triumphant second coming.



• The Bible:  I believe that the Bible containing the Old and New Testaments is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and that its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the ONLY source of all life, doctrine, correction, and reproof concerning spiritual instruction. (2 Timothy. 3:16). I believe that the uncompromised Word of God is not only to be taught, studied and learned; but most important, to be lived out & affirmed.



• The Holy Spirit:  I believe the Holy Spirit is constantly speaking to us, directing us, enabling us, and convicting us. He moves us onward toward the vision and purpose God has planned for us. I believe that the Holy Spirit's power and gifts are available to all believers, and all are able to hear God's voice by the Holy Spirit.



• The Prophetic:  I believe the Prophetic is the full counsel of God. It is the present truth God is revealing to His Body today. Being trained and activated to hear the voice of God and to move in the spiritual gifts God has given us. I believe this happens as a team effort, not as one man's effort



• Church Goals:  The goal of Church is to make disciples of all nations and to present the saints complete in Christ, by implementing the five-fold ministry of Ephesians as the Church is to be governed.



• Praise and Worship:  I believe in worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth. I believe that praise & worship is a mighty & powerful weapon that we must use daily against the enemy. I also believe that the demonstration of dance & drama is a vital part of spiritual warfare, as well as an anointed tool to minister to believers and unbelievers.



• Salvation:  I believe salvation is an act of free will in response to God's personal love for the individual. It is predestined in the fact that God, through His omniscience, foreknew those whom He chose. (Romans 8:30) Our salvation is secure in the eternal, unchanging commitment of God who does not lie and is forever the same. Understanding that salvation should always produce an active lifestyle of loving obedience and service to Jesus Christ our Savior and to His Word.



• Third Day Message:  Gods desire is for all people to experience Him in a fresh and a dynamic way through spontaneous praise and worship in a three dimensional fashion. First to enter the outer courts with praise and delighting ourselves in God; (2 Chronicles 5:13) Then to bring life and dunamis energy from the Holy Spirit of God into the inner court where joy and praise can abound, then moving into the most Holy Place of being in the Presence of God.
