Roper Lake Location:

From Safford, travel south on U.S. 191 approximately 4 miles to the Roper Lake turnoff. Turn left and follow signs to lake. Lake turnoff is less than ½ mile from U.S. 191 and is part of Roper Lake State Park.

Ramp/Access:

Boat ramp is improved with slight slope and located on East side of lake. Accessible Fishing Opportunities available for physically challenged anglers to parking and restrooms.

Sportfish Species:

Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, sunfish and Channel Catfish.

Management Strategy:

Intensive use. Winter stocking only. Stocked with rainbow trout catchables.

Elevation - 3000 ft.

Dankworth Pond Location:

Lake turnoff is a quarter of a mile south of junction SR 366. Turn left and travel one quarter of a mile to lake.

Ramp/Access:

No ramp, access to waters edge.

Sportfish Species:

Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, crappie, sunfish and Channel Catfish.

Management Strategy:

Intensive use. Winter stocking only. Stocked with rainbow trout catchables.
