Wright won 160 games and lost only 40 during his nine years at Xavier for a 80% career winning percentage.  His teams won three Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships.  His 1941 team went undefeated, finishing the season with a record of 29-0.  He also posted seasons of 35-4, 23-2, 18-7, 17-4 and 15-3.
