Cleveland Tiger Pride Band

Important Annoucement!!

We will not be having Tuesday evening practices in July. We will resume rehearsals on August 4th at 9 a.m. Enjoy the Rest of your summer!

Welcome to the website of the Cleveland High School Tiger Pride Band. Cleveland is located (no, not in Ohio) in Oklahoma near Lake Keystone.

The Tiger Pride Band has an active marching, concert, and jazz band program. We strive to provide a fun and educational experience for all students, while encouraging positive student leadership as well as quality musicianship.

The band has produced many honor band members to both the Oklahoma Small School All-State Band as well as the Mid-East Oklahoma Honor Band (MEOBDA)

The Tiger Pride Marching band is an active organization. The band provides energetic entertainment at all football games and is very competitive at marching band contests. In past years the band has performed "Phantom of the Opera", Latin theme shows complete with palm trees and flamingos, and most recently, The Music Man. This coming years show promises to be as entertaining. The band will perform music by the jazz flugelhorn great, Chuck Mangione.Selections include: Mangione Opener, Land Of Make Believe, and El Gato Triste.

The concert band has shared equal success, performing quality literature and working to achieve superior musicianship. The bands repetoire has included: Legend of the Ida Glen, Chantys, Henderson Field, March Lamar, and just for fun Cajun Folk Songs and the Holst Second Suite.

The jazz band, which meets solely before school after marching season is completed, has enjoyed a great deal of success and popularity. The band has consistently rated in the top 10 jazz bands in the state of Oklahoma in class 3A. This years program included: Straight No Chaser, by Thelonious Monk, Moanin', Where is the Love, from the Woody Herman library, and I'm Beginning To See The Light.

We hope you enjoy looking around the site. Thanks for stopping by.
