VIRTUAL REALITY, A Video For The Senses Plan B - Of all the crap we put out and all the things we do, it all comes back to this. "8 1/2" with Damon Way on vocals runs through the final credits. We still get letters from all over the world asking where to get this version of the song and to this day, this video is the only place. Following our song is this local homeless guy singing his version of "Here Comes The Sun" that brings tears to every eye.

VIVA LA VINYL, compilation 12" Deadbeat Records, P.O. Box 283, Los Angeles CA 90078 - P.T.L., The Kids, Tiltwheel, Queen Mab, Nonsense, John Cougar Concentration Camp, KPF, Fighting Cause, Sicko, Verrucose, Sleeper Bouncing Souls, Whatever..., Trusty, J-Church, and Tilt. The song we do is called "Crawl" and the title is an homage to Entombed, a band we all love immensely. This comp holds a special place in our hearts. We are on a quest to play a show with each band that took part in this. We have 6 more bands to go. We got on this because Mark Campground got in a fight with Brian Everready and we took their place. The phrase "Brian Everready is a rock star" is etched into the camprgound side.

THE 7-INCH Liquid Meat, P.O. Box 460692 Escondido Ca 92046-0692 - Also known as the "Know?" and for some reason, the "Why?" 7". The first pressing came with a beer coaster and a big hole with a 45 adapter. pressing #2 has a small hole and no sticker and pressing #3 has a small hole and a sticker. Three songs on this one, "know?" "Another Sappy Song About Hate" and "Snap".

VOLUME Liquid Meat - This Comp has some great bands on it like HEMLOCK, ASHES/DUST, EVERREADY, BOILERMAKER, UNLEADED and then it takes a nosedive and then.... us. No really it's not that bad. It's smothered in reverb baby! The Songs on it are "I'm Not O Anymore", "Manilla" "Jill's The Best" and "Bail Out". When we woke up the morning of the recording, we were a four piece when we walked through the Door of the studio, we were down to three.

KEEP THE BEAT, Hairball 8 Records, box 26500 #11 san Diego CA 92196 - This one is really on Cargo i guess, and the song was supposed to be on a Cargo comp anyways. I hate the song, it's called "Louis Hopeless is a Rockstar" and it has nothing to do with the song title. Louis is the coolest "label guy" we know. He deserves to be a rockstar more than even YOU do. Ryan, who put this out is a drunk friend of ours who hangs out at our favorite bar, The VELVET in San Diego. Dave and Ross both work there. He also helps run PUB CITY ROYAL an Oi! Label. This is a good comp, the UTTERS song is amazing and the Guns n Wankers song is EVIL! We originally wanted "Bowl Of Flies" a Leatherface cover to be on this one, because SNUFF and GNW were on this. We lagged and didn't get the recording in to him on time. The BARNYARD BALLERS are on this too. They are dave's 2nd Favorite Band in S.D.

BATTLE HYMNS FOR THE RECLUSE YOUTH 12" Liquid Meat - This is not the "new" tiltwheel record this is a vinyl compilation of most of the comp and 7" songs. We rerecorded all the songs and in some cases they are better than the originals and in some cases they are shit. Most of the comps these songs were on are hard to find or out of print. Some folks have complained about the lack of information in the liner notes. We'll just say we did it all in haste and left a few things out(like the fact that we didn't write "Bowl Of Flies"). Our friend Carson did the cover art and drew the pills on this here web page. He goes by the name "REV. C" but we know his real name and we'll use it against him someday. Before you pick this up instead of the comps, think about all the great bands you're going to miss out on hearing because you were too lazy to look for them, Your loss.

BATTLE HYMNS FOR THE RECLUSE YOUTH CD Liquid Meat - Well now it's out on aluminum for your convenience. Of course It's missing a song, the Song Titles and adds this little thing featuring a DJ from KKSM, the Radio Station where Liquid Meat records was Spawned. We were at practice and were listening to this guy play the same two NOFX and DOWN BY LAW songs over and over so bob called using a fake name. He chose "ROB" so no one would find out who he was. It worked. Anyway, this DJ had probably got flustered by the songs he was playing, probably because it wasn't his usual fare of Christian Contemporary Rock. Oh the radio effects are from a sound effects disc that Jeff Forrest had. We meant to leave this off the disc. it was a better idea than a reality.

POGO STRUT SLAM SWIVEL + MOSH Devil Doll Records, 2533 E. Broadway Ste 8 Long Beach CA 90803 - The song we have on here is "Battle Hymn for the Recluse Youth pt 1". I have a lot of reservations about this comp, which claims to be a benefiet but they were paying royalties to the bands on here. We asked for CD's instead of pay. The beneficiary here is the Surfrider Foundation, but you'll never see it mentioned in print ads or net spams. That worries me. I listen to it for the ZEKE song. We refused to sign their stupid contract too. What happened to punks helping punks and deals done with handshakes??? A pretty good comp though, and worth picking up.

SIX PACK TO GO Stiff Pole Records p.o. box 20721 St. Pete FL 33742 - Less than Jake, Load, The Mckrakins, Decadent Few, No Fraud and us. a great comp and Stiff is the person i'd most like to get drunk with right now. Two of these songs are only available on this comp. One of them is a song called BL'INK! which we wrote when Tom was in the band. Actually i think Blink had it first, and they stole it from us anyways, but broke up so we changed the lyrics and rewrote it. Then Blink got back together.I think they called it "Does my Breath Smell?" on their record. The other song PEGBOY is a ripoff of a pegboy riff with lyrics about my junkie bro who joined N.A. and became an asshole know it all and preached his bullshit because he was weak minded and couldn't think for himself. He's cool now, but i still haven't told him who the song is about The other songs are "truth is twisted" and "Snap" Off the 7" We owe Harlan Rythym collision for this one. they couldn't do the comp and asked us. Word on the street is that this is the ONLY comp ever released that does not have an RC song in it. ha ha.

RATIONAL INQUIRER NEW MUSIC SAMPLER - This one comes with an Issue of R.I. out of Florida. We have one 'song on it, a LeatherFace cover. I think this is six labels paying some $$$ to get some advertising for their bands. I like the comp, it's worth finding. But Read the Zine Dammit!

PUNK WISH LIST Possible Problem Records P.O. Box 59854, Potomac MD 20859-9854 - We don't know how to get hold of this one, because we don't have a copy. This one is a benefiet for the Make a wish foundation, where they take a dying kid and grant him a wish. The song on here is the same song on the Devil Doll comp. We didn't know this one was out or anything until we saw an ad in flipside. No one seems to know where they got the song but who cares? as long as it's being put to good use. I sure wish these folks would send us some copies though. It's only fair

PUNK? A 27 BAND PUNK ROCK COMPILATION Backspin Records - this is where you can find the song "8 1/2" besides the Plan B video. The spent Idols are on this comp and a great Underhand Song. There are actually two different covers for this comp. Tom Mason put this out he is a really nice guy who i met but couldn't talk to much because i was in the middle of breaking up fights all night. UPDATE: Tom is No longer doing Backspin records. We wish him well in the future and thanks for everything you've done for us and the other bands you've helped out.

PUNK...IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ORCHIS FACTOR Virgil who does the fine zine Suburban Home put this out, which surprised the shit out of us. We didn't know we were on this until we saw ads for it. . Some of the bands on here are AUTOMATICS, NOBODYS, PINHEAD CIRCUS, and the mighty S.T.U.B. the only Ska/punk band worth their weight in skinny neckties. The song we did is listed as "Song Title" but it's really "The Box" a song that also is on the Battle Hymns 12" Don't get all fired up thinking you found a new unreleased hit by The Tiltwheel, blame it on a lack of phone skills in the Liquid Meat camp. They're nice enough folks but they are total wankers.

CINEMA BEER GOGGLES Hopeless Records I don't know why we're on this but it's a video compilation and we took some 16mm, 8mm and video cameras, called Andy at the VELVET and some friends of ours and killed some time on a saturday afternoon. We picked up a drunk Ike from No Knife who plays the doorman Brett Everready's van plays the out of control vehicle that Aaron Crashes into the SDG+E Fence. Todd DYP who also appears on the center label for the "Battle Hymns..." 12" stars as "The Torso" and the Rev. C can be seen drinking beer by the front door. Molly Meat plays "the butt". We originally had this concept where all our friends bands like the Spent Idols, No Knife, Everready and Shitgiveits would take our place at a show we were late for and lip sync the song for us, at the end we'd run in and save the day and punk would happen. In an ironic display of Art imitating life, not one complete band showed up for the filming. Each band was missing a member or two. This left us with half of our footage shot and no way to finish it. I get the bright idea that we could get drunk for free if Tim Liquid bought us beer and filmed us drinking it. We walked about a mile from the liquor store to an alleyway i used to hang out and drink in. The beer was warm, the puke is real and the cops watched the whole thing while they ate Submarine sandwiches.

TILTWHEEL / NOTICE split 7"Accident Prone records - Notice is a neatoriffic band from Escondido, California and The guy who put this out, Gary, is an old BBS buddy of mine. I once promised him a tape and never sent it. In Fact I still have the tape in a mailer sitting by the computer. Ross played bass on this one, and as well as the Firmament 7". One song is this stange instrumental with a short burst of lyrics and the other is a cover of "March Of The Flying Squirrel" by the Mighty, but now Defunct SHEEPHEAD. The guys in Sheephead would probably kill us if they heard this.

THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF THE BOMB AND THE FIRMAMENT SHOWETH HIS HANDIWORK 7" Firmament Records - This 7" is both a blessing and a curse. I was so worried that this would suck because we really weren't ready to do this when we agreed to it. Now I place it second only to our first 7" in favorite tiltwheel releases. This fucker is a family affair, from REV C. drawing Brendan's Logo to Marie, our old guitar players sister doing the printing of the covers to our good friend Andy Tolley playing Moog on it. He also plays Moog on John Cougar Concentration Camp's "Til Niagra Falls" lp. It is the loudest most manic thing we've ever done and it may scare a few of you out there. If you were expecting another "jawbreakeresque" sob fest, you'd better hide your razor blades. Brendan is America's own "Swinging Guy" and I implore you all to "Experience The Wonder". Make sure you play this one loud too, and turn the Bass up all the way.

IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE Rabbit Records - I have to admit, at first this comp didn't much for me but after a few listens and losing my tequila hangover, I really enjoy it. "Bowl Of Flies" and "8 1/2" return here for this Aussie Compilation. There are some really good bands on this like ANNALISE, CAUSTIC SODA and THE FOSTERS. Mat has put out two other comps with such fine bands as CHINA DRUM, SPROCKET WHEEL and CHOPPER If you kids in the states can find this or any of his other comps I suggest you pick one up and hear whats going on in the rest of the world. All the rest of you, thanks for listening. Anyway, if CAUSTIC SODA'S Dire Straits cover doesn't make you long for the days before you knew what heartbreak was, then you are a big dumb stupid.

CRINOLINE HEAD The Movie!!! - This is a Horror Film by the maestro of post-modern giallo TOMMY FAIRCLOTH. Ooh its scary!!! I owe Tommy Faircloth a debt of eternal gratitude because he got our name mentioned in FANGORIA! Lots of bands on the soundtrack from HEMLOCK, UNLEADED and EVERREADY. Tommy Even reshot some scenes with the beautiful Cathy Slaminko with Everready CD's and posters garnishing her nightstand. At my request he also shot some more gory scenes! I hear there's a scene that was cut out of the final print where Cathy and another Girl are fighting over who gets to go to the prom with Davey. They decide that there is enough of dave for both of them and well... you'd have to wait for the unrated laserdisc i guess. Tommy was nice enough to put our video on the commercial release of CRINOLINE HEAD. This version is re-edited and i think its better but the distributer fuck CUT OUT THE PUKE SCENE!!! Bastards!!!

TOUBLESHOOTERSCelentani Projects - Skate Video. I think we're the only non-hip hop band on here. Know and Snap are the soundtrack to the newest teenage kick.

HOW TO BE PUNK VOL 1 Cool Guy Records - Our song on here is the version of "Sappy" that appears on the Cinema Beer Goggles Video. I know you're saying "ugh another so-cal comp" but I actually like this one. Almost everything on here is listenable and the whole thing is hosted by this fucking Tesco Vee wanna be that gets on your nerves. Hey Rev Norb, Tesco Did it first, come up with something in the same league as "WAY USA" and we'll reconsider. Bands include Fifteen, Co-Ed, Potatomen, Ann Baretta, John Cougar, Discount, J-church, Shrooms, Everready, Automatics, Nobodys, Moral Crux, Shoegazer, Pinhead Circus, Polk High #33, Operation Cliff Clavin, Boba Fett Youth, Schleprock, Sinkhole, Squirtgun, Connie Dungs, FYP, Nonsense and Four Squares. Good comp, pick it up.

HAIR BRAINED SCHEME ADDICTS CD Cool Guy Records - Nine of our songs and a cover of ICICLE WORKS "Birds Fly(Whisper To A Scream)" which is a good song on a pretty terrible record from the 80's. Maybe some band ten years from now will say the same thing about this record and do a cover of LULLABY...

HAIR BRAINED SCHEME ADDICTS LP Attention Deficit Disorder - Put this record on, take a Quart(*) of malt liquor, preferably OLDE ENGLISH 800 and drink it to the top of the label. Add a half pint of Tasty Florida Orange Juice, spin the bottle to mix the ingredients and swig it like you're sucking on Brittany Spear's Tasty Silicone Treats and watch the room spin. Take Tiltwheel record and pawn it for another Quart and more OJ. (*)40oz are preferred but are outlawed in the state of Florida, though sex with girls the age of Brittney Spears, is not.

SOUTHPAW/TILTWHEEL Split 7" Mother Stoat Recording Company Ltd. Another edition of the Mother Stoat singles club, Limited to 500 copies and only available by joining the club, which is about 16 bucks for a years worth of records. Other editions featured some very good bands like SERVO, CROCODILE GOD, ANNALISE and WINNER. SOUTHPAW first crossed our paths via the "Greetings From The Welfare State" comp on BYO. They're a very good band and can't wait to hear more from them! Hopefully we'll talk them into coming over to the states. Our song is "2:07am" off the Hairbrained Schematics lp which is soon to come out on Mother Stoat early 2000. Our first UK release and if I'm not mistaken the first yank band on Stoat. Thanks Justin!!!

THANKS VERY MUCH MAX! Rabbit Records Another fine compilation for the kids at Rabbit Records in Oz. Some of this stuff is on other 7"s. Our songs are "All I Care About" and "Aarons Song". Besides us, the bands are THE URCHIN, SCARED OF CHAKA, LOVE CAMP 7, VANILLA POD MAINSTAY, ANNALISE, PCTHUG, DESTRUCTOS, WORM, SCARPER, STITCHFACE, THE DUVALS & BEERGOGGLES. Max is world famous cricket player Max Walker from down under. He looks just like the manager of Arby's on East Valley and that guy is chinsy with the horsey sauce!

OVAL / TILTWHEEL Split 7" Snuffy Smile OVAL is an amazing band that used to be called EAT TO THE FULL but they changed their name to go with their updated sound, which takes all the great elements from Husker Du and post punk SST bands to make a very original Japanese Punk band. TILTWHEEL are a bunch of drunken losers who have no purpose being on such a fine label in the company of such a fine band. The cover depicts a point in Japanese history when Beer was first introduced to the country. Our songs are "Can't Remember Shit" which is a lame response to the english translation of "Husker Du" because its very inspired by the boys from Minneapolis. The other song is a cover of CHER's Mega hit "Believe". Recording was done by Mike who is a San Diego Mod/Power Pop Legend. Like most bass players, this 7" has a big hole.
