If you have a model in need of restoration please contact me; I specialize in restoration and repair! I have over 30 years of experience providing professional artistry, quality workmanship, model making and customization.
If you would like a preliminary estimate via email please attach your digital pictures in a "jpg." or "gif." format focusing on the areas in need of repair. Please include a complete description of the work that needs to be done along with your contact and shipping information (name, address, phone number) . If you prefer to mail in a model for an estimate please keep in mind that I will return your model using the same box.
I also provide model customization and alterations making your model unique. This includes (but is not limited to) battle damage, weathering, custom nose art, squadron markings or an entirely new paint scheme. TERMS OF SALE: When I receive your digital photographs (gif and jpg formats only!) I will email you a preliminary estimate. When I receive your model I will send you a final estimate for approval. For large jobs I may require 50% down and 50% upon completion. Once the model is repaired, I will send you an email with attached photos of the work completed (to date) and an invoice that will include the total now due, along with return shipping and optional insurance. After receipt of payment, I will return your model using the same box and packing material you originally provided , so please pack it well! I cannot be responsible for prep or repair work done by others; however, I can try to fix it for you! The utmost care is always taken in handling models, but I am not responsible for damage due to manufacturing flaws or shipping (consider insurance please.) I will hold a repaired model 90 days after the invoice has been emailed for payment due. After 90 days without payment in full the model will become my property. Please note that personal checks take 15 days to clear. I also accept money orders and Paypal (please include a 3% surcharge.)
SHIPPING INFORMATION:
1. Double box your model if you can and please allow enough room for the new repair to fit. For example a model with a wing broken may fit in a smaller box than a model with a newly repaired wing attached.
2. Try to keep the package under 108 inches (by adding the length plus girth... basically its the distance around the thickest part).
3. UPS charges do vary slightly day to day due to fuel prices.
4. I've had good luck with USPS and UPS... FedEx , not so much. I recommend USPS Priority Mail with insurance ; it is less expensive by far. Of course, the choice is yours, just let me know how you want your model returned. Please note that Parcel Post must be hand delivered to the post office, therefore a $8.50 handling charge will be applied to the total.
5. If you want shipping insurance please email the insured amount as soon as possible.
6. If a model needs to be repacked it will be done at the UPS store unless the customer states otherwise and extras will be applied.
7. Though I do make every effort to be accessible, I can't guarantee I will be available during the day for receiving a signature package. For example, FedEX can deliver anytime between 7am to 7pm. Please take this into considersation when shipping.
