Creation history of the AASTB

The creation of the American Association of Spanish Trimbrado Breeders was in the "we need to get it going" stage for several years. Finally, on December 18, 1998, after the arrival of their first shipment of Spanish Timbrados directly from Spain, Bea and Jack Fout who have been breeding the Spanish Timbrado since 1993, after being nudged along by two of their good friends, David Benites, a member of the San Diego Canary Club who is also a Colorbred Judge and a member of the show committee of the San Diego County Bird Show, and Paul R. Scandlyn, President of the Southern California Roller Canary Club, the Association finally was brought to fruition. David and Paul assisted in organizing the objectives of the organization and the bylaws. Paul was responsible for the web page. The Association continues to grow and new members are being added to the roster on a frequent basis.
