Visitors are welcome to join us for coffee hour in the Parish Hall following the service and to visit our Bookstore. Also, please sign our guestbook in the Narthex. Although the Orthodox Church does not practice inter-communion, visitors may come to the altar rail to receive the Priest's blessing and the Blessed Bread. Welcome!

Harvest Festival: We are proposing to offer a Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 18. Possible activities could include a craft fair, bake sale, concessions, raffles, or craft items for kids. Please see Fr. Theodore if you have something specific you would like to do. If you don't, he may come and find you!

Financial Review: Today, August 31, Fr. Theodore and members of the Vestry will be available during Coffee Hour for those who would like to review the finances of the parish.

Thank You: Thanks to Drew Foerster for mowing the lawn last week.

FYI: Each parish pays a tithe for Archdiocesan funding. If you would like to pay towards that tithe (in addition to your pledge), please list that in the memo of your check.

Father Nicola Yanney Pilgrimage: Please pick up one of the flyers for the Diocesan Pilgrimage this October. Father Nicola Yanney was the first Orthodox priest in the entire region (the region being about the same size as our whole Diocese). The Clergy Brotherhood has purchased a new gravestone for his grave that will be blessed and prayers recited for the 90th anniversary of his death. Please plan to attend this important event Oct. 24-25 in Kearney.

Coffee Hour: Thanks to Diana and Sabina Peterson for bringing treats today. Please sign up if you can bring treats for coffee hour. There is a signup sheet in the parish hall.

POCCO: Fr. Theodore and Walker Plank attended a meeting last Tuesday for the revival of the Pan-Orthodox Christian Council of Omaha. There should be news of upcoming events soon. If you have any questions or ideas, please see Walker.

Bookstore: Matushka Susan has agreed to take over the operation of the bookstore from Joel Thomas. Thanks to Joel for all the work he put into keeping the bookstore running! If you have questions regarding the bookstore, please see Matushka Susan.

Farmers Market: St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 10303 Boyd St., will be holding a farmers market on Saturdays, August 30, September 6, September 13, and September 20. It will go from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will also be a thrift sale, activities, and church tours.
