The Student Assistant for U.S. History
is a Windows-based electronic notebook for advanced
and honors U.S. History students.
Student Assistant was created to provide a means for a student to organize and access information. Students can enter information into major categories for future reference, retrieve over 100 primary source documents in whole or part and develop essays with the use of a writing tutor. The Student Assistant also provides five timelines, outlines of major areas, major Supreme Court decisions and easy navigation between all areas. Students may formulate essays and document-based questions with the use of the Writing Tutor. Essays may include cutting and pasting parts of the primary source documents located in the program into the essay itself. Essays can then be saved, printed for submittal or copied and pasted to a word processing program.
The Student Assistant for U.S. History requires 2MB of hard drive space, 4MB of RAM. a 386 PC (or better) with the Windows (3.x or better) operating system to run.
