The Tom Farley Band

The Tom Farley Band originated in 1989.  Its members (Tom Farley, Tania Farley and Gerry Herndon) have been musical colleagues for almost 20 years.

Tania has been performing with Tom in every acoustic and rock group he has been associated with for the last 25 years, including Cimarron, The Tom Farley-Cam Head Band and The Tom Farley Band.  She also performs when Tom performs his solo act.

Gerry Herndon was a co-founder of The Herndon-Edwards Band and was instrumental in developing that band's album, Travelin' All Over.  Tom had his first professional recording experience with Gerry and the band.

     

Tom has been part of the Southside Hampton Roads music scene for over 25 years.  Through bands, solo work and recordings he has established himself as a local acoustic favorite.  He has been awarded Port Folio's Best Acoustic Musician in Hampton Roads (1983) and Best Rhythm Guitarist in Hampton Roads (1985).  He has played every major acoustic and rock venue in the area, and has opened (either solo, duo or band) for Poco, Firefall and Bruce Hornsby.  He has written, produced and recorded five original recordings:
