Although most, if not all, of the children of this couple were born in Stonington, Connecticut, a great deal of information for this family was found in records from the town of Lee, Massachusetts. Specifically, birth and death records for the period 1800-1850 obtained from the Town Clerk of Lee provided a wealth of information, which is summarized below.
Birth records show the birth of Phineas, two of his sons, Thomas P. and Joshua Orrin. Also shown are births for two of his granddaughters. One is Margaret Eliza, Thomas' daughter by his second marriage, and the second is a daughter (Flora?) of Edwin.
Death records show Phineas, his son Joshua Orrin, his daughter in law Mary L. (Perry) Wheeler, and his grandson Orrin.
