Dismal Swamp Canal trip, 9.16.2007

Maria and I paddled the Dismal Swamp canal today.  It was the first time with Maria's new Necky Manitou kayak which she calls "Teacup".  Named after a kitty of course!

We had a nice leisurely paddle.  I don't remember how far we went but I imagine only a couple of miles. I had forgotten to post this trip to the website so I don't remember the details seven months later.  I know we didn't see any snakes.  Maria did very well and is already getting the feel of her new boat.

The last few trips my waterproof camera has proved to be a bit flighty (or probably it is the user!).  I can't seem to get any real decent shots.  The camera is an el cheapo and takes horrible pictures anyway so decent is a relative term.
