Miscellaneous stuff....

My kayak storage solution.  A work in progress.  I might need to put something over it in case of hailstorms.  Not likely to have one but I'd rather not find out what kind of damage it can do to my kayak.

And below is my kayak transport solution.  My new/used 1996 Dodge Dakota.  89,000 miles,  5 speed,  2.5L 4 cylinder......I'll be using my cap/shell from the old truck on this one until I come across a used one to replace it.  It is a very clean truck and I hope to keep it running for the next 5 years.

I was able to use the shell off of my Grandfather's old Dodge Ram truck,  my previous mode of transportation.  It fit very well.

My truck and Maria's Toyota.  They look the same color here but they are not quite the same.

The shell actually works better on this truck because the bedliner causes the back hatch to seal and lock in a better,  more secure manner.
