To the best of my knowledge, the following is a complete listing of everything Tokyo Optical offered as a part of the RE Super/Super D system. This data comes from many sources: Sales brochures from Tokyo Optical, Beseler and Paillard; price lists from Beseler, Paillard and Hervic; back issues of Popular Photography, Modern Photography and Camera 35; Topcon User's Manuals for the cameras and accessories; Marco Antonetto's book Topcon Story; and, of course, items for sale by camera stores and on eBay.
I have chosen to categorize bodies and lenses into 'generations' and include the features I use for each generation. Also, many items came in both chrome and black finishes so I have made this designation. My selection of features for classification is somewhat arbitrary, but it seems to work well, at least for my purposes. I do not differentiate between the RE Super and the Super D cameras. Except for the Beseler logo and the different names, these cameras are identical beneath the sheet metal.
If any of you collectors know of additional items, or if you disagree with my classification method, I would like to hear from you. Without support from Tokyo Optical, we loyal fans of Topcon cameras are left to make do on our own.
