BUDDY-X has been a work in
progress since 1999 - with longtime friend and guitar wiz Rex Brady on Guitar/Vocals,
Eddie
Keating on
Bass/Vocals and yours truly on drums.
~
Our mainstay
sound is "Rockin Blues Deluxe" including styles such
as: Jonny Lang, Los Lobos, Gary Moore and Tommy Castro. We also
make plenty of left turns along the way - including classic rock,
disco rock and many other styles - including Peter Gabriel and
Velvet Revolver as of late...
~
On some gigs we have special guests Scott Schoeffel on Violin/Keyboards and/or Martin Gerschwitz on Keyboards (when
not on tour with Eric Burdon), and special guest vocalist Tricia Freeman.
~
BUDDY-X
has
had the honor to open for such greats as: Jonny Lang, Jimmy Vaughn, Eric Burdon
and the Animals, Little River Band, Lynard Skynard, Grand Funk
Railroad, Dave Mason, Ambrosia, Night Ranger, Eddie Money and
most recently, the Fixx.

Oh yeah,
many people ask where we got the name - BUDDY-X. It comes from the old days when my
pals and I would be at a club and in walked a total babe with
some goof-ball on her arm. We would stare in disbelief and ask
each other: "What's SHE doin' with Buddy-X?" It also
was used to fondly refer to the incognito friend or two who wished
to remain underground...
John Doe,
Buddy-X, J.Q. Public - they're all the same dude...
