Season's greetings, everybody! We've moved to the base of the Huachuca Mountains in southeastern Arizona, and let me tell you, we are discovering a new season called WINTER. Yes, that's right, winter. At 5000 feet, it’s much colder here than it is in Mesa.

However, the beauty of the high grasslands and oak forests more than compensates for the cold weather. Mexican jays, acorn woodpeckers and a family of white-tailed deer call our land their home. When the fawns are startled, they lift enormous fluffy white tails and run like the wind. It's an amazing sight. And both sunrise and sunset seem to be gorgeous pretty much every day of the year.

We’re hoping that our house in Mesa sells soon. Meanwhile, our house here has a laundry room, heat, & cooling. The place feels more like home every day. Future projects: closets, flooring and paint.
