Vince D’AcchioliIntroduction

A good friend of mine called me seven years ago to tell me he had a very good friend who was a businessman for 26 years and started an outreach program for men, called Men on Target. He stated that he would be a very good resource as a speaker.

I have been very careful to have speakers who I knew personally and had a good idea about what the content of their message might be. However, it has also been wonderful to have friends who know somebody so well that they can highly recommend the person as well as the message, so I made arrangements for Vince to come and address a men’s breakfast meeting, and then a Rotary lunch that same day. He did a terrific job for both, very different presentations.

As our relationship grew over the years, the value of his business experience as one of five people running a Fortune 500 company, became increasingly more obvious. His travels around North America gave him a window of insight that made him even more effective as a speaker, and his delivery system was as we had heard anywhere.

Vince had an incredible background as his last name inferred, his family had been involved with a variety of business interests, and he had been involved with as many off-colored experiences that an individual could have. He was so far askew that when he met Cindy and they were married he says now, the old adage that opposites attract each other could not have been more accurate. It took Cindy and her family praying for him, and going to Jack Haford’s Church on the way, to get Vince’s attention for a dramatically different life style both socially and spiritually.

Vince would come into San Diego and stay with us for three nights and we had some wonderful opportunities to have deep discussions about many different topics. He kept coming back to the fact that if this country, yes even the world at large, is going to have a spiritual revival, it’s going to have to be done by the men through respective churches. He is also very concerned that the pastors are not equipped for this action to take place and so they have to be taught and trained at the same time.

As I have reflected on our conversations and listened to his messages during the Men on Target seminar, I’m convinced that he not only knows what he’s talking about, but he knows how to help implement the concept.

After leaving industry with 26 years of pressure packed decision making-management decisions, Vince was hired by Dick Eastman, of Every Home for Christ,  as Executive Vice President for five years before starting On Target Ministries. Vince and Cindy had moved to Colorado Springs from Southern California to join Every Home for Christ. They built a lovely home there and finished raising their two grown daughters, one of whom has given Vince and Cindy a grandson. In addition to the girls, they built a mother-in-law apartment for Cindy’s mom,, who has lived with them for over 10 years. Vince truly is teaching and learning from experience, and doing a great job of it.
