Tray Folder

Tray Folder is a fairly small program . Start the program and an icon will appear in your tray displaying the date. Right-click it, click on “Tray Folder, and your folder will appear. Put any thing in your folder you want– shortcuts, files, or other folders. Tray Folder is a Launcher. No Bells. No whistles. No dancing bears trying to sell you something that you do not want or need. But, it is an excellent launcher of programs of your choosing and has several extras, such as a “Reminder” feature. The actual folder is located under your profile, on your computer, and adopts your profiles name. For instance, my personal tray folder is named “John’s Tray Folder” and is located in the profile named “John” on my computer. The tray icon is used to very quickly and easily access the folder.

Version 2 has been developed using a new version of the programming software which has been used throughout the development of “My Tray Folder”. Version 2, now called just “Tray Folder” has a couple of new features but the basic operation of the program is the same. Version 2 does introduce a unique method of hiding and securing folders and files.

“Tray Folder 2”, another program by Titlebar that is similar to “Tray Folder”, has a second folder that can be accessed, using a password, through the tray icon. In the protected mode the folder’s contents are encoded. The user must login to decode the folder’s contents and open the secure tray folder.

You have the option to start Tray Folder when windows starts and the weekday, date, and time can be displayed in the title bar in various formats if you like. In version 2 the AM-PM or the 24 hour time format may be selected. This really is a nice little piece of software and the registered version is only $ 7.98.
