It’s hard to
believe, but distressed wood can be beautiful (after it’s cleaned up a bit). Materials
like wood pallets are obtained free.
So the material is free, but what about the other stuff? A wood pallet can take an hour to tear apart. However, there’s enough wood to build something that will be cherished forever…. and the wood is saved from becoming waste. Once the nails are pulled, the wood is sanded and the pieces are joined together. Below are some examples.

Book Shelves |
This was built and quickly filled with books. It now serves as a centerpiece for a reading library. It has a rustic look. This came as one large piece. It was separated and rebuilt as shelves. This is a more contemporary look. |

Coffee Tables |
The legs of this table were once the support of the pallet. The top of the table is from the surface. It has a Red Mahogany Finish. Solid table with a dark oak finish on the sides and natural linseed oil on top. Check out the beauty in the wood grain. Classic Finish. |
