Notes from Irene Reese: , this information taken from the 1850 first district, Rhea County, TN.; Microfilm roll 432-893, Pages 549-550; Also information in possession of the descendants of James and William Reese. The census shows William as 2 therefore 1848 seems the more correct for his birth. Since the census does not give dates or place of birth for either Joseph or Sally, Nor Sally's maiden name or date of marriage, it seems highly likely that nancy talked to the Census Taker. Elvira was not listed on the census therefore it is likely she was married prior to 1850

v. Rebecca REESE was born in 1840 in Tennessee. She died about 1859 in Tennessee.
vi. Ishum REESE was born in 1841 in Tennessee. He died about 1859 in Tennessee.
vii. Jane REESE was born in 1843 in Tennessee. She died about 1859 in Tennessee.

William R REESE was born on Aug 11 1848 in Rhea County, TN.⁽⁵⁾ Was a farmer, Baptist church, places of residence included Rhea Co., Tenn., Webster Co., MO., Stafford Co., KS He resided Kansas in 1902. He died on Oct 6 1929 in Stafford, Stafford Co., KS. He was buried on Oct 9 1929 in Stafford, Stafford Co., KS. He was a Farmer. He was Baptist. He resided Rhea Co.,TN. He resided Webster Co., MO. He resided Stafford, KS.
