This address is presented to you as a picture.  There are things that are called computer robots.  They surf the web and steal email addresses by finding the "@" sign.  They can not take the information from a picture. It takes your human eye to see the picture and type the result into your email program.    This helps me reduce the amount of unwanted e-mail a.k.a. "spam" from my best email address.
