| Chaing Mai Thailand December 1997 |
There was nothing interesting in Chaing Mai to take a picture of until you went into the countryside, so here is an obligatory picture of the Westin Chain Mai and a bottle of shampoo. Look on the Elephant page instead. No pollution, no crowding, no nothing ! Just pretty jungles and neat places to shop for tourist crap.
Leather, Teak Furniture, Jewelry, and Silk was cheap. I could only afford a picture of the Teak furniture, I got to touch a piece of jewelry, and the sales girl at the leather factory sent me a postcard, and let me touch her. She was relentless, she was determined, she followed me into the bathroom to keep me from sneaking out of the factory without buying something. I spent $ 180 there to keep her from coming home with me. She showed up at my hotel that night anyway
OK, they did have some neat shampoo and shower caps to steal at the hotel ! I think I still have a whole suitcase full if anyones hair is dirty. Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas ?
This was the salesgirl at the leather shop.
