I took a trip to Hawaii in 1996. The beauty of the ocean, the flowers, sunsets, is unbelievable in Maui. There are lots and lots of water activities and things to do in Maui. The big island, Hawaii, well.... I guess you could acquire a taste for it. One side of the island is all lava, no vegetation, no beaches, and a bit boring. The other side is a rain forrest and where they grow the only domestic coffee in the United States, Kona. Prices are a bit much for hotels and food everywhere, but what the heck, you are on vacation.

I love Orchids !

This is the active volcano on the big island of Hawaii, and you can drive right thru it. The sulphur plumes were eirie and rather strong smelling. I also found out why they call a 'rain forest' a RAIN FOREST in the second picture, cause it rains all the time !
