1.  JOSHUA⁶ BROWN  (JOSHUA⁵, JAMES⁴, ELEAZER³, THOMAS², NICHOLAS¹)¹ was born October 04, 1764 in Stonington, New London Co., CT^2,3, and died November 20, 1846 in Lee, Berkshire Co., MA.  He married EUNICE PALMER April 09, 1785 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut^4,5, daughter of JONATHON PALMER and PRUDENCE HOLMES.  She was born July 29, 1763 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut⁶, and died December 30, 1837 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut.

Joshua, [died of] old age, Nov. 20, 1846,  a[ge] 83, "at Phinehas Wheeler, his son in Law."

     They lived on what was called the "Master Josh Farm," a few rods south of the Miner Meeting house on the west side of the road -- a commanding elevation; beautiful and picturesque scenery. After his death the house was torn down, being very old, and the farm divided, and in 1904 is owned by Charles W. Vincent and Richard B. Wheeler. Charles Brown inherited this farm from his father, and there his two children were born.
