He married (2) MARY MINTER Nov 16, 1780 in Edgefield Co., SC, daughter of JOSEPH MINTER and ANNAMERIAH GOOCH. Mary was born June 08, 1756; d. 1841.

(2) ISAAC DAVIS, March 02, 1813; m. (3) TOWNSEND FUGITT, 1839; d. 1871.

 

Notes for MARY ELAM:

Mary and her family moved to Bedford County, Tennessee in the early 1800's (probably after her 1821 divorce from Isaac Davis. She was a good business woman and a successful farmer.

 

Bates-Finch-Muse Cemetery is 1.5 miles southwest of Fairfield.
