Worth, Tarrant Co., TX¹. He married LENA BARDEN December 20, 1894 in First Baptist Church, Ft. Worth, Texas, daughter of JOSEPH A. BARDEN and LUCY WHEELER. Lena was born April 18, 1869 in New York, and died September 15, 1957 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

Obituary from THE ARLINGTON (Texas) JOURNAL, THURSDAY --- FEBRUARY 9, 1905

Jessee H. Melton, bookkeeper for Dr. Lloyd Pollock, committed suicide at his home in Ft. Worth yesterday by shooting himself through the left breast. He was formerly employed in the tax collectors office. He leaves a wife and 3 children. No cause was assigned for the rash act.
