1.  JESSE HOUCK⁸ MELTON  (JESSE H.⁷, JESSE JEFFERSON⁶, WEST ALLEN⁵, THOMAS⁴, NATHAN³, ROBERT², RICHARD¹) was born May 08, 1902 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and died September 21, 1966 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.  He married (1) SALLY VIRGINIA SHARP Abt. 1923 in Tarrant County, Texas, daughter of GEORGE SHARP and IDA HOLLOWAY.  She was born July 22, 1901 in Mansfield, Tarrant County, Texas, and died January 15, 1990 in Los Angeles, California.  He married (2) JEWELL EVELYN UNKNOWN Aft. 1941.  She was born May 06, 1902 in Oklahoma?, and died March 14, 1972 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

 

Notes for JESSE HOUCK MELTON:

Jesse was working in a church when he died.  Just before he died, he said to the man he was working with "I think this is the most beautiful church I've ever seen". Just after saying that, the man he was with heard a thud. Jesse had fallen dead from a heart attack  in the aisle of the church.
