Boy Scouting:
                 For Young Men 11-18

Every generation has unique experiences that were shaped by their era.  There are usually stark contrasts between the experiences of youth and their parents.  However, some elements in the lives of boys are timeless.

With a growing concern about the climates in which our children are growing up, adults are paying more attention to how and where youth spend their time.

When boys are encouraged and complimented for their efforts, they gain a sense of value and belonging.  They also experience a sense of accountability and teamwork.

Our Troop offers boys an opportunity to learn through experiences of camping, outdoor activities, community service, and a challenging advancement program.

The Scouting program also helps boys:

  • Learn self-confidence and self-reliance

  • Build friendships

  • Learn moral values and respect for others

Young men are also introduced to more than one hundred hobby and career choices while earning merit badges.  Members gain experience and have fun at weekly Scout-led meetings and adult-supervised monthly camping activities.
