This section documents
one of my latest builds - a full
scale second feature film Dalek from start to finish. This
is the first time photos were taken all the way through the
build, mainly due to the fact that there was actually time
to take them! When working to a tight schedule for television
or film usually time is at a premium unless a willing accomplice
stops by with a camera all that is usually recorded for posterity
is the finished, paint still tacky article before it is quickly rushed
off to the studio amid instruction "don't lean there its not dry" etc.
(kidding ! Well, most of the time!) Usually however that sort of
hoo-hah can be avoided though if something is needed
the day before yesterday and you were asked to build it 5
minutes ago - - ah, all the fun of the fair !!

Anyway, here without further ado is a
walk-through picture
by picture of varies stages in construction which lead to the
above finished article. Clicking on thumbnail pictures in each
section will take the aspiring reader to full size images and
a descriptive account of steps in construction involved.

And that's the bulk of the hard
work done ! Other parts - neck bin and rings,
eye antennae and dome and dome lamps were covered in previous articles
during previous build diaries.
