Sensor plates are test mounted using folded over
masking
tape sothat holes can be drilled through into the collar band at
the same time to enable accurate positioning once the mesh is
cut and ready to apply. Plates are galvanised steel, unlike the
aluminum and perspex used on film and tv, which was prone
to bending ( aluminum ) and snapping ( perspex ). Steel finish
will be left bare and burnished to take advantage of the
metallic finish, the two collars and mesh will also be left
bare for the same reasons. Note also the gun and arm are
in place at this stage - gun wires are made from older
style heavy duty wire coat hangers as this type of wire will
not bend if the gun is grasped unintentionally.
