SSRG is seeking networking and working relationships::
Applications Focus:
Primarily aquatic, with interest in selected interfacial
and terrestrial systems. Work areas of interest address the multiple opportunities
resulting from the intersection of oceanographic, environmental, public
health, resource monitoring and discovery mode exploration.
The emphasis is on the synthesis of systems, based on
the collective leveraging of many of the disruptive individual science discoveries
and technological advances, which when combined with the corpus of existing
knowledge on the limitations and needs within the domains of focus, will
yield new opportunities.
General Area:
Applications of uTAS, multidisciplinary engineered, unprecedented,
analytical systems capabilities to solve practical problems of mutual interest
to client and SSRG.
SSRG interaction profiles sought:
Entities seeking to identify, assess, then willing to
make appropriate, serious resource commitments to establish new business
capabilities enabled by disruptive technology and scientific advances, within
1-3 year window of opportunity;
Entities seeking to understand and plan for longer term
fundamental re-positioning which will take advantage of the spectrum of
advances in analytical chemistry and fabrication at molecular to meso structural
levels and would like to generate applications oriented systems based on
the integration of that science/technology with state of the art electronics
and communications, to fortify current research, to extend markets or expand
current offerings;
Entities understanding the long term infrastructure implications
of the above enabling factors, which want to develope new paradigms for
discovery, exploration, and large scale, cost effective deployment of such
systems and to manage and integrate the resulting data streams into new knowledge
assets for strategic advantage. This would include improvement or development
of proprietary internal systems, extension of knowledge based systems to
help plan highly autonomous, remote acquisition and manipulation of analytical
data and samples on unique specimens, which hitherto would have been cost
prohibitive.
Disciplinary:
Analytical, EE, materials, photonic, SWE.. all with systems
emphasis which push state of the art in integrating concepts and capabilities
from relevant domains. Particular interest in new analytical instruments
enabled by forefront science and technical developments.
Enabling Frameworks/Integration of Functionality Levels of Interest:
- Molecular level chemical interactions impacting
transduction across multiple scales;
- Biomolecular and biological inspired techniques
and assays;
- Polymer and nano-materials and process;
- Analytical instruments at mm to nm feature size
integration into systems with traditional and non-traditional electronics,
optical and communications systems;
- Advanced fabrication, prototype testing, systems
evaluation;
- Massively networked assemblages and communication
paradigms amongst entities.
- Integration of new capabilities into business or
governmental monitoring systems.
Typical Interaction Level:
- CEO, Board, VP-Science; VP-Engineering; VP-Advanced
R&D, VP-Marketing/Planning, CFO; Government Program Managers;
- Interdisciplinary teams, composed of industrial,
academic and government sectors;
- Technical area experts, consultants, and sophisticated
end users.
Business Focus:: New Opportunity Development:
- Concept formation , elaboration, evaluation;
- Market needs identification and assessment;
- Economic impact of newly enabled paradigm shifts;
- Scenarios for realization;
- Bus/ Technical Strategy/ Planning;
Operational Focus:: Enabling execution:
- Strategic program to interim project lead/consultant;
- Focused development and advanced R&D planning.
- Strategic relationship identification and building;
- Internal team recruiting, building and tasking;
- Systems level oversight and capability generation;
- If you or your company or organization have similar areas of interest
or need, then an exploratory exchange with SSRG is welcomed.
