January 27, 2000: Mrs. Applebaum's students were so excited to see what was in the box. Mrs. Silverman, computer resource teacher, took pictures of Mrs. Applebaum welcoming Tunia to their class. Tunia looked tired, but very excited to meet the children and learn all about Long Island, New York. Then the class visited Tunia's web site on a screen so that everybody was able to see all of her online adventures. They had a wonderful time listening to Tunia's songs, and they sang along. It was so interesting to see all of the other schools that Tunia visited. We talked all about ladybugs and are planning to read books and do lady bug craft activities. Tunia is going to have a wonderful time in Norwood Avenue Elementary School! |

Tunia must really feel welcome in Mrs. Applebaum's class. She even has a rocking chair with her name on it. Wow! |
