Reservoir Avenue School

Providence, RI

June 9, 2003: Tunia arrived back at Reservoir Avenue School today. Not only were the students in 201 thrilled to have Tunia back home, but on top of that, they had another great surprise. Officer Craven came in to read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. Officer Craven, a Providence police officer, made a special day even more special. The students and Tunia enjoyed his reading and had lots of questions about police officers. Officer Craven answered their questions and helped everyone understand the important work that police officers do all through the day and through the night. The boys and girls were surprised when they heard that police officers work all night long while the citizens are sleeping. What a great day everyone had!

Here is Tunia with her new friend, Officer Craven, and the book that he read to the class.
