Fountain     1990 Glass/Granite/Gold Leaf 144" x 60" x 18" Commissioned by Mckellar Properties for the San Diego Design Center (now Qualcomm) on Lusk Boulevard in Sorrento Mesa.  Implemented and coordinated by Joan Warren, The Annex Gallery, 453 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101, 619-531-0888. This Fountain is one of a pair of fountains located in the three story atriums at either end of the San Diego Design Center (now Qualcomm).  The water from the pools in which they sit is pumped up through a pipe in the center of the laminated glass where it spills out from beneath the tapered gold tip.  The water flushes the face of the glass and gently trickles back into the pool.
