Reflective Disc     1980 Glass/Brass 8' Diameter Commissioned by San Diego State Drama Department for the lobby of the Don Powell Theater SDSU, through of a competition among graduate sculpture students in 1980.  Implemented and coordinated by Don Powell (now deceased) of the Drama Department and Fred Orth, then  head of the School of Art, Design and Art History at San Diego State University. Reflective Disc is the first of many works involving the laminating of many layers of plate glass and my first public artwork.  It acts to bring light and images from the outside to the interior of the building.  "As 'twere, the mirror up to nature" Hamlet Act III Scene II.
