The Focus                                 2000
Aluminum/Wood/Copper Leaf/Glass/Granite/Stainless Steel/Acrylic Prisms
240" x 36" x 60"

Commissioned by Kaiser Permanente for their Mira Loma administrative facility in Anaheim, California.  Implemented and coordinated by Linda Moore Fine Art, 4244 Altamirano,  San Diego, CA  92103, 619-291-0828.

The Focus balances on the point of an 8' burnished aluminum cone which supports a laminated glass sphere, a granite disc and a copper covered wooden tree.  It rests in the center of a three story entry rotunda that is pierced with large windows around it's entire perimeter.  Daylight passing through the windows changes and sweeps across the space striking the small prisms at the apex of the sculpture creating dozens of small, constantly changing rainbow patterns across the walls and floor of the rotunda.  The space acts as an oasis in an otherwise pressure filled atmosphere where employees can rejuvenate in the reflective presence of The Focus.
