*NOTE: PSP 6 users - Since this version does not have a preset teardrop shape you will need to make one or you can d/l my teardrop selection here and place it in your PSP selections folder.
To create your own place a vector ellipse on your canvas. Hold down the CTRL key and deform the top inward to create the teardrop shape. When you have the shape you like, convert to raster. Then select the teardrop using the rectangle selection tool, click on the image to select it. Go to SELECTIONS/ Defloat, then hit delete. You can now save it to your selections folder if you want and continue with step 3.|
NOTE: If you are using my selection or one of your own skip down to #4 and start there. |
Open a 400x400 transparent canvas.
1. Set your background color to white and click on the preset shapes tool |

2. Select the teardrop by selecting the outside area with the rectangle selection, antialias off, click in the center to select. This makes a smoother selection than the magic wand. Go up to Selections and click on DEFLOAT. Hit delete and you'll have just the selection. 3. You may want to use this selection again so go to SELECTIONS/Save to disk. If there isn't a selections folder in your PSP then create one and save this shape. 4. Go to EFFECTS/3D Effects/ Cutout and use these settings. Do not deselect. |
