Ashley Cosgrove is a Freshman enrolled at Rhode Island College.  She is majoring in secondary education with a concentration in English.  Web design is still a hobby of hers and she will quite possibly end up minoring in the field.

From July 31 to August 31, Ashley spent her weekends rehearsing with the apprentice cast of King Richard's Faire.  She participated in one stage show, Town Meeting, one Pub Sing, and Final Revels each day of the season during September and October.  Next year she hopes to be a part of the Village Voices as well.

She graduated 21st in a class of approximately 180 from Tiverton High School in June of 2005.  She was published in the Providence Journal sponsored poetry anthology Millennium Memories in the seventh grade and has since released an anthology of her own, A Rose From The Twilight Garden.  Neither has been mass distributed, though the latter is available on request.  Most of her spare time is spent on poetry and web design.  Begrudgingly, she created this website in Microsoft Frontpage to satisfy a Graphic Arts I/II class requirement.  If she had her way, she would have just kept coding.  The only advantage in cheating, as far as she calls it, is organization, which since she doesn't have the funds to waste on her own server, is not of much concern.

In early 2005, she qualified for the Providence Youth Poetry Slam team as the alternate and traveled to San Francisco for the National Youth Slam in April.  The team took second in both bouts and as a result just missed competing on final stage.  Next year, if she continues to compete in the youth bracket, she will attempt to make the Worcester team, but after having seen the corruption at youth nationals, she may just move on to the adult bracket or bow out of slam altogether.  For more information on slam, read her article here. She's already sick of talking about herself and may choose to write more at a later date.
