G33k Dictionary

Contained herein you may find some terms that are entirely foreign to you.  There are many reasons for that, but chances are good that if there's any excuse for it at all, it's because it's a geek term.  That's why, for your understanding and browsing enjoyment, I am providing you with this GEEK DICTIONARY!  If the term you're looking for is not listed here, or my definition is not satisfactory, I recommend Urban Dictionary, Dictionary.com, or Google.

Fanfiction- Fictional stories created by fans of a show, band, or book.  Individual shows, bands, or books are referred to as fandoms.  My work in this particular genre is available here, proceed only with an open mind.  A fuller explanation is available on the disclaimer page that follows.

LARP- Live Action Roleplaying Game.  I'm not explaining any more gamer acronyms, after this, I'll just link the NERO site.

NERO- New England Roleplaying Organization.  An organization of gamers who gather in designated places to carry out LARP games.  This is much in the tradition of the more popular d20 based tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons.  More information is available at the official website, http://nerohq.com/.

Snarky- A term some are not familiar with, as it does not appear in most standard dictionaries.  Derived from the two words "SNide remARK," it is an adjective for a witty but sarcastic and cynical remark.  Uncommon adjectives are much more colourful than your everyday Roget's and Webster's stuff.
