Whether your interest is radio control, control line, static scale, indoor flight or outdoor free-flight the aim is for this page to be the link to a whole raft of resources that will interest you, give you ideas or provide links to other on-line resources. If there is something you would like to see us cover please send an email. This is an A to Z reference of aircraft terminology. Any article that appears on this front page will always be available via this on-line glossary. This will become your interactive reference of the future. |

CompuFoil Professional is the industry standard in airfoil modifica- tion and plotting software. Used by SIG, Midwest Models, Great Planes Models, R&R Products, CR Aircraft, DJAeroTech, NASA, and discriminating modelers around the world. CompuFoil runs on Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98. It will also run on NT, but requires a custom setup program. The CompuFoil for Windows demo is available here, as well as hints and tricks to foam cutting. SoarSoft Software is also a distributor for the TEKOA Feather/Cut foam core cutting machine. |

by Dr. Ing. Ferdinando Galè Tailless Tale may be the first published book dealing specifically with tailless model aircraft. Tailless Tale is directed toward modelers, whether they are interested in RC, free flight, or control line flying. It serves as a general guide for those modelers intrigued by the history and potential of tailless aircraft, and as a source of technical information for those designing their own models. Amateur builders of full size aircraft will also find much useful information. To see more about this book or place an order go to B2 Streamlines web site. |

The folks at Bright Star (designers of the Swift and Millennium) put a
control bar on a Millennium for us to evaluate. It is weight shift controlled
in pitch, and
aerodynamically controlled in roll and yaw, activated through pilot pressure on the control bar. To the pilot the aerodynamic controls are "transparent," i.e. you fly it like a flex wing. If it turns out that the project is feasible aerodynamically, structurally, and financially we may choose to produce and sell a control bar configuration of the Millennium. We (WillsWing) have been making the sails for the Millennium since it's inception and have enjoyed our association with Bright Star. |

The SWIFT (Swept Wing with Inboard Flap Trim) is the result of more than six years of research lead in co-operation with the Stanford University in the USA. The SWIFT is a rigid wing, built with high technology composite materials and techniques. This allows both the robustness and the lightness required for a foot-launchable sailplane. The sailplane is pitch stable and keeps perfectly a given course. Because roll and yaw are automatically co-ordinated, the SWIFT stands easily and firmly in turning. |

AIRSPORTS
INTERNATIONAL - The monthly magazine for airsports enthusiasts.
A round up of all world air sports events duly recognised by Fédération
Aéronautique Internationale (FAI)
This looks like a good site for just about anything that has to do with aviation, as seem from the picture on the left. This link will take you to the home page which has a number of selection screens for you to use in going to those areas of aviation that most interest you. There may not be much on flying wings from the homebuider aspect, but there are extensive sections on hand gliding and para gliding. |

Fiberglass molds are commonly used to make multiple copies of a part which may have a complex shape. Some of the advantages of using a fiberglass mold are: they are easy to make, the materials are inexpensive, they will last for many years and can be used to produce hundreds of parts. The process starts with a pattern that you wish to copy. For more see: http://www.cstsales.com/ and click on the Builders How To lines. |

U.S.
Pacific was founded in 1987 by world-famed aeronautical engineer/designer
Don Mitchell and Richard Avalon, the current owner of the company. Don
and Richard worked together at Mitchell Aircraft Corporation from 1978
through 1983. Don passed away in 1992 leaving the designs and manufacturing
rights for the Mitchell Wing Models B-10, U-2 and the P-38 to Richard.
U.S Pacific's long-term and ongoing goal is the development and promotion of fun-flying on a world-wide basis. This concept is realized through the production of Ultralight home-builts that are simple to build, easy to fly and economical for the enthusiast who wants to enjoy the realm of pure fun flying and do it in a safe machine. It's based on this concept that U.S. Pacific was founded and continues to operate. Our name is synonymous with home-built Ultralights and fun flying. |
