Bean Brown Carafe
| A hard-to-find piece in any of the American Modern glazes The piece pictured has an inner lip to hold the stopper: it is the "Carafe;" This one has a homemade replacement wood stopper, not the original myrtle wood one. An identical piece WITHOUT the inner lip is the "Jug." It's important to learn to distinguish Bean Brown, a reddish-brown glaze, from Black Chutney, a much darker, black-brown, with splotchy patterns. |
