| Brown chop plate. Brown is one of the early "raindrop/foamy" glazes, which, in this color, shows as a whitish overtone to the dark brown color. You can tell the earliest by the very large backstamp mark, and the fine, "foamy" glaze, as opposed to the more homogenous, solid brown of Nutmeg Brown. |
