Grass platter, soup bowls, and (rare) Water Pitcher
| At its best, a hard, shiny blue, Grass glaze is quite seductive. The simple, enigmatic "Grass" swirl is a dark blue on the lighter blue field. It has led many collectors to speculate about a possible oriental design influence on Wright. In many parts of the U.S., Grass is the most commonly-reported of the Esquire designs, but nearly any serving piece in any pattern is, at best, hard to find in great condition. |
