During Retreat the American Flag is raised from half-mast to the top of the flag pole, then lowered.  All is quiet as "Taps" plays in the background during the 21-gun salute.  As an AC-130H Spectre Gunship flies overhead as a salute to her fallen crew, a light rain starts to fall from the sky. A woman standing next to me said "Look, it's tears from heaven."

Tear of Remembrance

I shed this tear, for those who died
The fathers, the sons and those who are left behind.

On one cold day they received the call
Away they would fly, to defend for all
In foreign lands, and over unknown seas
The Ghostriders would fly, to keep Kuwait free
On one dark morning they planned their attack
but something went wrong, and they wouldn't come back
In the skies that they knew so well,
Their fateful journey ended for no one to tell

I shed this tear, for those who died
The fathers, the sons, and for those left behind
Their honor, their glory will live to tell
of the heroes these men were
The ones we knew and loved so well.
