"My very Dear Mother,
Being _____, I seize _____ few moments to address a
dear aged, distant, Parent, & friends. Be assured not a day passes
without my thinking much, _____ bearing you all on my heart to God.
As you are the only remaining earthly Parent which we have, all my _____
& dutiful affection naturally rest on you. How distinctly do I
remember 24 years ago when I was a married women in my father's family
as Sarah is now at home in similar circumstances, it seems to bring all
those days fresh to my mind. I should certainly accompany Mr. Cone
& make you another visit, was it not for my young children, the
_____ & scarlet fever has broke out in our neighborhood and has
taken one of our near neighbors a girl of thirteen years, the most
distressing sickness and death I ever witnessed. Revilo was very sick
for about 10 days four weeks ago. I hardly knew _____ him at the time
but now I am _____ that he had the same fever. Tuesday morning I
was _____ off last night all of a sudden so I must close very _____ .
I think however I shall visit you next spring or summer. Give my
_____ to all brothers and sisters should be glad to see any of you here.
I should think Gen. Palmer and Statira might come.
