Welcome to the United Suburban Schools Association of Oklahoma website.  This site is designed to provide our members with current, historical and contact information to facilitate your awareness of our endeavors in behalf of our members and their students.

The United Suburban Schools Association is an organization of large and/or suburban school districts that represents approximately 40% of the student population of the public schools of Oklahoma. To be a member,  a district must be in or near the Tulsa or Oklahoma City metropolitan area, or have an enrollment of 3,000 students or more. USSA was founded in 1993.

Some of the needs of large school districts and rapidly growing school districts are very different from those of smaller districts, or those who student enrollment is static. Despite the challenges that come with rapid growth, these districts demonstrate a high quality of instruction, student achievement, innovative programs, extra-curricular activity, and student attendance.
USSA is needed in order to address those needs adequately while at the same time keeping the district's accomplishments before the parents, communities, the press, the public, state agencies, and the Oklahoma Legislature.

The USSA is the voice of the large and growing school districts at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

"Our  vision is uncompromising dedication to quality
education for our children and a bright hope for their future!"
