10/27/1950 Constituted the 12th Air Police Squadron as part of the new 12th Air Base Group at Turner AFB, GA.
12/3/1950
12th Air Base Group and APS moved to Bergstrom AFB, Texas
8/6/1951
12th Air Base Group and 12th APS become part of 27th Air Base Group at Bergstrom AFB, Texas
6/16/1952
12th Air Base Group and 12th APS are inactivated at the end of Korean War
11/3/1965
Reactivated the 12th APS as part of the new 12th Combat Support Group assigned to the Pacific Air Force, Cam Ranh bay, RVN 
11/8/1965
First elements of the 12th APS arrive at Cam Ranh Bay
5/15/1967 Air Police changed to Security Police 12th APS becomes 12th SPS
3/31/1970
12th SPS moves to Phu Cat Air Base to replace the 37th SPS
11/17/1971 12th SPS deactivated as U. S. troops withdraw from Vietnam
2002 The current 12th Flying Training Wing has a law enforcement unit at Randolph AFB but does not have a K-9 or Security Force Squadron.
