A dreadful scream filled the night air....

The sorceress sighed.

"Another poor woman with no self-esteem.", she mused.

The sorceress went over to the temptress and sat down beside her. The temptress was curled up into a ball. She was crying like an infant. She was pathetic.

"He treats her like a piece of meat. So that's how she sees herself." The sorceress looked down at the scantily clad body of the temptress. "Her whole existence revolves around him. All she wants is to fulfill his needs. But what of her needs?"

The sorceress thought of the overlord and what he had said to her...
 

"I don't care what you can do or can't do.", that had hurt. She had grown accustomed to his abrasiveness, but it still hurt.

"If my machine-half is destroyed, it will mean that you will both be trapped on this world, which is already in the middle of a chain reaction."

"There is another way. This world is beyond salvation, but if we close the portal as planned, at least the earth will remain unharmed."

He was always so selfish. His world was not beyond salvation. He just was not willing to make the sacrifice.

He needed to learn the meaning of the word.

The sorceress looked down at the body of the temptress once again.

"Everything is going to be all right.", she said to her, "It will all be over soon."

The sorceress reached down and rubbed the temptress' back. The temptress was too deep in self pity to notice. The sorceress moved her hand up to the temptress' neck.

"It will all be over soon."

Light flashed from the sorceress' palm. It shown all about the temptress' neck. Then it was gone. The temptress' body relaxed and lay motionless on the ground.

The sorceress exhaled. She was greatly saddened. But she had seen no other way.

She looked up at the stars in deep contemplation.

She awaited the inevitable rage.

including the Pope, have suddenly died of a strange and unexplainable
affliction.

So far people have remained calm, although there are mass gatherings
all around the globe.

Riots in many major cities. Men in white robes are leading the masses
through the streets in pillage and plunder. They all shout one name:
Cruciator!. So far nobody has been able to find out what it means.

20:00

A giant Cathedral has arisen out of the earth in Northern England. It
is cross-shaped and the walls seem to be adorned with lightning.
Nobody has been able to come close enough to find out anything more...
