Points earned on Multi-denominational machines are based on the schedule for the lowest denomination on the machine. There are (2) $1/$2/$5 Triple Play NSUD about 10 m east of the slot club booth. (6) 25c MG/MD 9/6 JoB slant-tops near San Francisco Pub Bar. Probably takes around 15K coin-in per day for three trips to get RFB (Gold) status. Greetings from the Cal casino monitor. I've updated the latest VP offerings at the Cal. Forgive me if I missed some of the better games, as there are many MG/MD machines to go through and the heavy play made it nearly impossible to gain access to the machines to catalog them all. My observations: There are three 25c 10/7 DB upright machines in the bank between the snack bar and the table games, not two. One of the five NSUD MG/MD machines on the wall between Pasta Pirate and the Redwood has been removed. I did not see it moved to a new location. There are many 8/5 BP and 9/6 DDB games available in denominations from 25c to $2. Most of these games are in MG/MD machines and I wasn't able to catalog them all this last trip. The $1/$2 All Star Poker machines also contain 3/5/10-play Chase The Royal and 5 Aces games. I found only two 9/5 SDB games in one of the alcoves above the dice pit. There may be more of these, but I couldn't access the machines to check. The two 25c 10-play 8/5 BP machines are nickel-based. So are the six 25c 9/6 JoB MG/MD slant-tops near the San Francisco Pub bar. (1) 25c/50c/$1/$5 NSUD MG/MD upright along wall between Pasta Pirate and Redwood. (2) 25c PROG RF 8/5 BP slant-tops in upstairs progressive bank. (10) 25c 9/6 JoB MG/MD uprights near San Francisco Pub Bar. (3) 50c PROG RF 8/5 BP uprights between snack bar and BJ tables. (3) 25c PROG RF 8/5 BP slant-tops near VIP Services desk. (10) 25c/50c/$1 MG/MD (1000 coin Heart RF Bonus) 10/7 DB uprights near Cal Club Snack Bar. (1) 25c 10/7 DB slant-top upstairs against wall near tournament area. (3) 25c 10/7 DB uprights near San Francisco Pub Bar. (2) 25c 9/6 JoB slant-tops upstairs. The 3 uprights $0.25 9/6 JOB in front of the San Francisco Pub bar seem to be MIA unless they have been moved to another location. The (2) 25c FPDW near slot club are MIA. $1000 coin-in gets free weekday room offers, and $2000 will get weekend offers also. Play $1-2K then ask for a coffeeshop comp. After $5K/day, you can usually get comps to the steakhouse at 1-2% of your action, depending on the host/hostess at VIP slot host desk. I really don't know if these are new machines or ones that have just been moved around: There are 10 upright TITO (dark green glass) Game Kings by the San Francisco Pub in a 2x5 bank. They have 9/6 Jacks in quarters, but are nickel based. Overlooking the lower pit area are 8 upright (aqua blue glass) TITO Game Kings with .25, .50, $1 denominations. Four of them have 10/7 DB and the other four have 9/5 Super Double Bonus in the three denominations. Really did not try to confirm the invertory as posted, but saw the three FPDW games. The one 10/7 Double Bonus machine on the bank of 50c progressives is gone. The bank now has ten 9/5 DDB machines and two 8/5 BP machines. One of the 25c FPDW has returned to a permanent-looking spot against the wall of the keno lounge. The whole area on the east side of the casino by the craps tables has been reconfigured. The two other FPDW by the slot club are still there. I was at California today and part of the area near the craps tables was roped off and new machines were being installed there. Both of the 25c FPDW in that area were MIA. I know that one of them is occasionally removed to make room for more craps tables. We'll see what's there when the new machines are fully installed. The combined slot card account for California, Fremont and Main Street Station is for cashback points only. Each casino still does their own comps and reward level ratings based on play in that casino, and doesn't give credit for play at one of the other casinos. I have the following observations from my recent play at MSS: (1) All joint accounts have been split into individual accounts. My spouse and I now have cards with numbers different by one digit. We cannot get each other's cashback. And we are now getting separate mail offers. (2) It now takes $1 coin-in to get a point. Slot club attendant told me this and I confirmed it on both the 25c FPDW right-hand uprights and the $1 double bonus slant-tops. Don't know if it is true for all video poker and all slot machines. (3) 1000 points = $1 Cashback (.1%) (4) We've been getting double points as we play since at least September 1st. Slot club attendant confirmed this. (5) Slot club is giving out yet another new, different-looking card. (6) Points from Fremont, MSS and the California appear to have been finally combined into one balance. No real buffet, but the coffeeshop has a morning breakfast buffet setup. Cal Club Snack bar - also pretty good eats at decent prices. Pasta Pirate and Steakhouse are nice upscale-alternatives. |
