FEB 2008

Stopped by the Eureka today. They do indeed have a slot club now. However, apparently it just started yesterday as they were quite disorganized. In fact, the cards issued do not have the players name on it yet and players are encouraged to get another one next week. I am not sure what you can get with the card. But there are signs that mention comps and free play. No exact details yet. Also, I found that I received 7 points for $10 worth of coin-in, although I don't know what to do with them.

This was only my third visit to Eureka, ever. But I do recognize that there has been much re-arranging. I do remember the old full-pay Joker Poker near the cage. It is gone and I did not see it anywhere. I found one old 10-7 Double Bonus coin-dropper (25-cents) near the door to the parking lot. Also near there is a 15-8 Loose Deuces (25-cent). Near the cage is a bank of dollar progressive slant tops with one 9-7 Double Bonus, closest to the cage, and the progressive was at $6000 today. The rest of the casino seems to be mostly short pay. Their Double-double seems to be 9-5 at best.

There is plenty of NSU (99.72%) at different denominations throughout the casino. One bank of slant tops has a progressive for 25-cent and 50-cent. The bar tops are all new and do not have any progressives. They are the new type of flat screens, very nice and modern, with multi-games on them, i.e., slots, blackjack, keno, and video poker. The denominations are 25-cent, 50-cent, and $1.00, and it appeared to me there was no change in pay tables between the different denominations. Best games appeared to be Joker 2-Pair (99.92%), NSU deuces (99.72%), Bonus Poker (I think) at 99.17%, and there may have been the game A-c-e-s Bonus at 99.41%. Not sure about the last one, as I'm not familiar with that game.

Interesting clientele. The Bellagio it ain't. But I think it shows some promise. I'm sorry the bar top progressives listed in the old database are gone. I suspect that there will be some changes in the near future. It appeared they were having "growing pains" and need some time to get it together. People and employees seemed nice. I think it really depends on what their new slot club can offer. I think it is definitely worth keeping an eye on this place to see if good opportunities for the smart video poker player exist.

FEB 2008

They have .25 & .50 NSU & 9-6 DDB progressive, all the games in the Eureka, too numerous to mention are over 99% including their inventory of spin poker, 100 play, 3-5-10 play and multi strike. Most of the 10-7 DB is gone 1 lone machine remains with 1 .25 4000 RF Joker. Eureka now has a slot club.

FEB 2008

All the FPDW and 9/6 JoB are gone. They will have a slot club
by early March, I don't know the details or percentages.

OCT 2005

I played about 40k a day through a spin poker game, and was told they
no longer comp food. It's cheap, but no comps.
